THREE BAD GIRLS WHO FIND A GUN AND BECOME VAMPIRES!
In a first for writer/director Christopher R. Mihm, principal photography of the
NEXT NEXT Mihmiverse movie, "
Three Bad Girls Who Find a Gun and Become Vampires," has reached completion
BEFORE the world premiere of the film preceding it, in this case "
The Wad: The True Story Behind the Phantom Lake County Chewing Gum Disaster!"
Granted, this feat does come with a few asterisks, specifically the fact that 2019's "
Queen of Snakes" was shot concurrently with 2018's "
Guns of the Apocalypse" and principal photography of "
The Phantom Lake Kids in The Unseen Invasion" was finished before "
The Phantom Lake Kids in The Beast Walks Among Us" was able to hold its world premiere, which was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Still, this is the first time this has happened independently and without the "help" of an out-of-control virus shutting down the world!
In honor of this milestone for the 20th (!) Mihmiverse movie in as many years, Mr. Mihm sent us the following behind-the-scenes photo taken as the film was wrapped! In the photo, from left to right, we find Mr. Mihm himself (sporting a rather large Santa-Claus-style beard) and actors Alice Mihm holding what appears to be the film's script, Elliott Mihm flaunting a 'stash that would make Tom Selleck proud, newcomer Jackie Baker displaying the film's titular weapon, and Michael Kaiser who, strangely, appears to be channeling Abraham Lincoln with his choice of facial hair!

With everything we've seen coming out of this rather unique project, call us cautiously optimistic that we'll see this supernatural-Mihmiverse-crime-caper sooner rather than later! Also, it's important to note that we asked writer/director Christopher R. Mihm about the reasoning behind the gun in this photo being painted red. He explained the choice was made for safety reasons. The prop is rather realistic-looking and, as a result, lacked certain features required for such an item, namely an orange barrel tip. So as not to confuse any casual passerby or, heaven forbid, law enforcement officials from mistaking the prop as a real weapon, the prop was painted a color not associated with real, functioning firearmsit lacks the ability to fire any kind of bullet or blankknowing that when seen in black-and-white, it would appear a slick, gunmetal gray!
In "
Three Bad Girls Who Find a Gun and Become Vampires," which writer/director Christopher R. Mihm refers to as an ode to "teensploitation" films of the 1950s and the cinematic oeuvre of the Coen Brothers, three female juvenile delinquents obtain a firearm and, just for the thrill of it, start robbing the fine folks of New Berlin. Unfortunately, their crime spree takes an unexpected turn after they mug and nearly murder the gambling-addicted pastor of the local churchwho turns out to be an immortal, blood-sucking creature of the night! Hijinks ensue when the vampiric padre hires a pair of hitmen to help him retrieve his stolen cash and seek revenge against the three bad girls responsible!
