SOUNDS LIKE FUN: Augusta Arts Center will present Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music" at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Augusta Community Center, 601 Main St.

There will be a matinee at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets cost $7.50 for adults, $5 for students and $3 for children 12 and younger.

Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets for dinner and the show cost $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

OUT OF THIS WORLD: Micon Cinemas Stadium 8 will show the sci-fi comedy "It Came From Another World" at 5 and 7 p.m. Sunday at 475 Chippewa Mall Drive, Chippewa Falls.

Filmed in the Twin Cities, the spoof pays homage to cheesy black-and-white science fiction movies of the 1950s. "It Came From Another World"

World features a regional cast including Mike Cook of Eau Claire, who plays a police officer.

"It Came From Another World" is a loose sequel to 2006's "The Monster of Phantom Lake." This time, Professor Daniel Jackson (Josh Craig) is sent to the deep woods to find a lost colleague. While searching, the professor stumbles upon a mysterious meteorite that could doom the planet.

Director Christopher R. Mihm and cast members Cook and Craig will attend the screenings.

MOVIE NIGHT: Eau Claire Parks and Recreation will show the movie "Night at the Museum" at 9 p.m. Monday in Carson Park's football stadium.

The PG-rated movie, starring Ben Stiller, will be shown on a 25-foot screen and in surround sound.
