The next great Mihmiverse film, "Annihilate All Humans!," is COMPLETE!

Writer/director Christopher R. Mihm has confirmed that he has finished the film and is happily putting the final touches on his self-described "flying-saucer-attack" epic! Also according to him, this film now holds the record for number of special effects shots in a Mihmiverse film, easily surpassing the previous record-holder, 2010's "Destination: Outer Space!"

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Mr. Mihm has provided us with a new still from the film (below). Based on the amount of destruction seen in last month's still, it seems obvious that the city in this image isn't going to fare much better than the Sydney Opera House! Now that "Annihilate All Humans!" is done, we can expect a release date announcement soon, with rumors swirling that Mr. Mihm is looking at the first week in August. A poster should be forthcoming and, as was promised in the "The Giant Spider" 10th anniversary celebration description above, the trailer will debut at that event.

Needless to say, we here at the Mihmiverse Monthly are beyond thrilled to see this movie and CANNOT wait until its release! As with all things Mihmiverse-related, as soon as we have more information, we'll pass it on to you as soon as possible!


In "Annihilate All Humans!," the world is under attack by flying saucers and only top scientists Dr. Edwards (Mike Cook) and Dr. Gabriel (James Norgard) can put an end to their unearthly aggression! Unfortunately, they have no idea it's even happening because they've been kidnapped by General Castle (Mark Haider) and taken to a remote cabin in the deep woods for some unsolicited rest & relaxation! Can our heroes find their way back to civilization in time to stop the alien menace, or will the seemingly unstoppable space invaders succeed in their quest to ANNIHILATE ALL HUMANS!?

Just because writer/director Christopher R. Mihm has finished editing this new film, it definitely DOES NOT mean the production can't use more funds! In fact, quite the opposite! With all the previous contributions having been spent making the movie, the production now needs an influx of cash to complete the process of releasing it, including paying for the manufacture of physical media, putting together the world premiere, printing posters & collector's tickets, and much more!

Dinosaurs? Dino-mite! (Part II)

The history of film is filled with movies about dinosaurs, and the golden age of cheese (1945-65) was filled with "Jurassic classic" B-movies!

5. "Gorgo" (1961)

E. On a Naval expedition to Antarctica, three men and a woman discover a tropical forest filled with carnivorous plants, dinosaurs...and human footprints!

When a test pilot goes missing over a Mexican jungle that also happens to be home to a very large deposit of uranium, his worried fiancée charters a small plane to search for him. Unfortunately, because of the area's previously unknown high radiation levels, their plane is forced down. Now stranded in a strange valley with her three companions (one of whom is only out for the lucrative minerals), the group makes a shocking discovery: the animals in this particular area have been grossly mutated into over-sized monsters! And, most surprising of all, the woman is abducted by a dinosaur-sized, one-eyed man! Her companions set out to rescue her from the horrible creature and B-movie hijinks ensue. "The Cyclops" was written and directed by Bert I. Gordon, a '50s sci-fi/horror auteur who just recently passed away at age 100 and is best known for making "giant creature" films like "Beginning of the End" (giant grasshoppers attack Chicago), "Earth vs. The Spider" (a giant spider wreaks havoc), and "Village of the Giants" (hipster '60s teens magically transformed into lumbering giants who dance a lot and take over a small town). There were few 1950s-era filmmakers who knew how to do what Mr. Gordon could do so effectively, and, in my opinion, the world is better off because of his singular talents. Compared to some of his other classics, "The Cyclops" admittedly, wasn't his best effort, but it is certainly worth checking out. Personally, I like the film, and if you're a fan of 1950s creature features, you owe it to yourself to see it!
