THE LAST MIHM STANDING CARD GAME!
The Mihmiverse now has its very own card game!
As a "Pandemic Project," Mihmiverse super-fan Barry Perkins (who appeared as a townsperson in "
The Phantom Lake Kids in The Beast Walks Among Us" and designed & built the St. Euphoria Cemetery seen in the film), has, with the assistance of the rest of the Perkins clan, created a card game based on the films of Christopher R. Mihm: "
The Last Mihm Standing!"
The game is made up of 71 cards inspired by all 17 films (and one musical), tokens for keeping track of certain events, an instruction book, and a die (because sometimes it's better to be lucky than good). Players take turns using cards to do things like releasing a giant spider to attack their opponents, asking "Basement Jesus" to watch over them, or just hiding out in an admittedly-familiar looking forest.
It's a Battle Royale where you win by being the only person not to losealthough, if you're clever enough, you might find a loophole around that! Knowledge of the Mihmiverse is not needed to play the game, but the cards are clearly written by a fan... for the fans.
This game has been professionally manufactured and is now available in
EXTREMELY limited quantities! Get yours
NOW while supplies last!
SIGNED CAST PHOTO CARDS!
In honor of the release of the final Phantom Lake Kids movie, we're offering this very cool, exclusive set of signed character cards that were originally made available at the world premiere of "
The Phantom Lake Kids in The Day the Earth Abruptly Almost Ended!"
This set of 4" x 6" photo cards consists of six retro-styled photos of the actors who embody the main characters of the Phantom Lake Kids series of films.
AND, each card is individually
HAND SIGNED by the actors! Since most of the cast in this film are the children of the director, he tends to be
EXTREMELY protective of them and, as a result, this may be the
ONLY place you'll be able to get
ALL of their autographs!
This
EXCLUSIVE set of signed Phantom Lake Kids cast cards is available for a limited time and in extremely low quantities! Order
NOW because once they're sold out, they're gone
FOREVER!
THE RETURN OF THE CANOE COPS!
"'Canoe Cops vs. The Mummy' reads like a lost Universal monster movie, and I'm very proud to have Mr. Sullivan playing around in my creative sandbox. Fans of my films and those who love classic monsters are in for a real treat, and I sincerely hope this is only the first of many Canoe Cops stories to come!" Writer/director Christopher R. Mihm
An Egyptian mummy rises from the depths to wreak havoc upon the sleepy Wisconsin town of Phantom Lake. Now, only the bravest Canoe Cops, led by Lieutenant Richard Agar, and auxiliary Paddle Girl (and expert diver) Julie Browning stand between their city and the mummy's deadly curse!
Stephen D. Sullivan is the author of more than fifty books and has worked on countless comics and games. His past projects include "Iron Man," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Dungeons & Dragons" and "Star Wars." Steve's adaptation of the cult classic "Manos: The Hands of Fate" won the prestigious Scribe Award for Best Adapted Novel, 2016.
ANNIHILATE ALL HUMANS!
With the release of "
The Phantom Lake Kids in The Day the Earth Abruptly Almost Ended" this past summer, writer/director Christopher R. Mihm has been focusing solely on the
NEXT Mihmiverse movie, "
Annihilate All Humans!"
In "
Annihilate All Humans!," the world is under attack by flying saucers and only top scientists (Dr. Edwards and Dr. Gabriel) can put an end to their unearthly aggression! Unfortunately, they have no idea it's even happening because they've been kidnapped by General Castle and taken to a remote cabin deep in the woods for some unsolicited rest & relaxation! Can our heroes find their way back to civilization in time to stop the alien menace, or will the seemingly unstoppable space invaders succeed in their quest to
ANNIHILATE ALL HUMANS!?
The Mihmiverse is only made possible by
contributions from fans like you. For each $20.00 donation, all

THIS MONTH IN MIHMIVERSE HISTORY
Since the films of Christopher R. Mihm have existed for over 15 years, we figured digging into them would make for an entertaining addition to this newsletter! Thus, in this new section, aptly titled
This Month in Mihmiverse History, we'll traipse through "days of Mihmiverse past" and present some of the most interesting events!
It was announced in December of 2007 that Catherine Hansen had accepted the lead role in a Mihmiverse film called "
Attack of the Killer Robot" which was announced earlier in the year. Sadly, the project fell apart in the scripting stage and Ms. Hansen wouldn't appear in a Christopher R. Mihm film until her role as space pirate Yureena Null in 2010's "
Destination: Outer Space."
Following a freak December rainstorm in Minnesota in 2010, writer/director Christopher R. Mihm was surprised to find an inch of water sitting in an unfinished "
Attack of the Moon Zombies" set in the corner of his basement! Luckily, with the help of an oscillating fan and a thorough mopping, Mr. Mihm was able to salvage the set and everything in it, allowing the production to continue on schedule!
Speaking of Catherine Hansen, a creepy behind-the-scenes image from the "
The Wall People" half of "
The Late Night Double Feature" dropped in December of 2013 and, though her face was half-covered, there was no mistaking who was behind the surgical mask in the photo! Check it out below!
Just days before its originally scheduled completion date, principal photography of "
Danny Johnson Saves the World" was temporarily shut down in December of 2014 when a particularly virulent flu strain ripped through the production. Several of the actors slated to appear in the remaining scenes were affected by the illness, as was almost the entire Mihm family involved in the shoot and lighting designer Cherie "Rhuby" Gallinati. A week later, the final scenes were shot and everything worked out in the end!
On the very last day of 2018, writer/director Christopher R. Mihm surprised everyone with the announcement of the film "
That Which Lurks in the Dark," which he planned to make after the release of 2019's "
Queen of Snakes." Regrettably, the production was plagued with issues from its inception. Mr. Mihm hoped to start filming the project in early 2019, but scheduling conflicts forced him to postpone until the following year. In the interim, he made "
The Phantom Lake Kids in The Beast Walks Among Us" instead. Principal photography of "
That Which Lurks in the Dark" finally began in early 2020 and, after filming roughly one third of the script, the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the production (and paved the way for "
The Phantom Lake Kids in The Unseen Invasion"). A year later, with the pandemic still raging, the film was completely cancelled and production of the third film in the Phantom Lake Kids trilogy, "
The Phantom Lake Kids in The Day the Earth Abruptly Ended," began.

Welcome to the
Mihmiverse Monthly feature where we talk to
YOU, the fans! Every month, we choose a random Mihmivite and ask them a few Mihmiverse-related questions in an attempt to get to know them better and find out what they
REALLY think about the films of Christopher R. Mihm!
This month, we interview Christine Leopardi!
Introduce yourself to the Mihmiverse!
My name is Christine Leopardi, and I am an Australian of Sicilian/Maltese decent. I've been retired for 20 years from accountancy.
When and how did you discover the films of Christopher R. Mihm?
I discovered the Mihmiverse via the "Schlocky Horror Picture Show" on FOXTEL Aurora channel here in Australia. The show was hosted by the snarky skeleton horror host Nigel Honeybone AKA Graham Garfield Bernard who, sadly, passed away over a year ago.
If you had to pick just ONE, which of the Mihmiverse films would be your favorite?
My favourite is the first one I saw, "
The Monster of Phantom Lake." I was struck by the declamation of Josh Craig and the plot. I found it to be a perfect take on 1950s/'60s sci-fi. Luckily, a few more of writer/director Christopher R. Mihm's movies were shown by Graham Garfield Bernard on his weekly show!
Tell us how you, in particular, show your "Mihmiverse pride!"
I show my "Mihmiverse pride" via my Facebook page, and by reposting any Mihmiverse-related posts. Also by wishing the production team well!
Where would you like to see the Mihmiverse go in the future?
In the future, a Charlie Chan-style mystery parody. Personally, I like those old movies and think, if done correctly by the right person, they could be redone humorously without offending anyone. Charlie is always the smartest man in the room. Perhaps Mr. Mihm could be create an (original Charlie Chan author) Earl Derr Biggers-esque hero, but make him a Phantom Lake County local (Minnesota accented, naturally).

CLASSIC MOVIE OF THE MONTH
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964)
Directed by
Nicholas WebsterStarring
John Call,
Pia Zadora and
Leonard Hicks
After watching too much Earth television, Martian children Girmar and Bomar realize how lonely and sad their lives are without Santa Claus. This so worries their parents that their father, Kimar, hatches a plan to travel to Earth, kidnap Santa and bring him back to Mars. Unfortunately, things go awry when the Martian Voldar (the villain of the film) changes heart and instead decides to kill Santa (for the sake of the purity of Martian society). Is Santa's magic and the power of belief enough to stop Voldar from destroying Christmas? More than likely, yes. The production design, make-up, acting, script, direction and generally
EVERYTHING about this film is so bad, it jumps over that magical invisible line and becomes goodso good, in fact, it hurts! Currently available as a public domain title, you could easily find this movie online for free or in the dollar bin at your local retailer. I can't in good conscience "recommend" the film necessarily, but for as few "drive-in era" holiday-themed movies as there are, it's certainly worth seeing, even if it's just once!
Christopher R. Mihm

Drive-in Monsters channel includes the entire catalog of Mr. Mihm's films, exclusive extras, and long lost special features originally released on currently out-of-print physical media! Explore the worldwide, underground cult phenomenon known as the "Mihmiverse" and enjoy the rebirth of the golden age of "drive-in cinema" with the
Drive-in Monsters channel!
As of right now, the channel is free... but, that most likely will not last forever! So make sure to enjoy the
Drive-in Monsters Roku channel while it's still completely free of charge!
Most of the films of the Mihmiverse are available on Amazon Video. Sadly, as Amazon continues to revise and rewrite its policies, they have downgraded the entire Mihmiverse catalog from "available with Prime" to rental only. Though this wasn't entirely unexpectedgiven the way the service has been slowly ridding itself of the films of Christopher R. Mihmwe
CANNOT guarantee they will still be there on any given day! So, if Amazon is your preferred place to watch the Mihmiverse, enjoy it while it lasts!
NOTE: Amazon has barred writer/director Christopher R. Mihm (and
MANY other independent filmmakers) from adding any new films to their service. As far as we have been able to figure out, the service is taking a more "curated" approach to its catalog and, unfortunately, does not have any more room for the cheesy goodness of the Mihmiverse! Therefore, if you're interested in watching the newest films of the Mihmiverse, we highly recommend checking out the Mihmiverse Roku channel,
Drive-in Monsters!

Mihmiverse DVDs & Blu-Rays are now available at
SaintEuphoria.com, the online home of the films of Christopher R. Mihm. In addition, exclusive movie posters, collectibles and other merchandise are now in stock. Everything is available in extremely limited quantities, so get yours today before they run out!
